Design concept
The idea is that Krishuset is a product by MSB (Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency) and sent out to schools, primarily middleschool classes.
Krishuset can be seen as a tool and combined with assignments it is used during class to promote learning. The purpose of Krishuset is to educate and illustrate important things about crisis and crisis management.
The design makes it possible for easy storage (see picture below). The dimensions fit standard shelves.
User testing
In the pictures below we are trying out our product and concept with users. They got the following task:
- Each group decides what they want their home to have (choose between obejcts). After 15 minutes explain why and their thoughts.
- Teacher says it has been a power failure for a week and the students have to choose what obejcts they now want in their ”house”. Turn the product around and move the objects they want. After 15 minutes explain how they resonated.
- The teacher gives a lecture about crisis management and the students can reflect over their own ”houses” they made.
